Lamberhurst Vineyard, Furnace Lane, Lamberhurst, Kent, is one of the Seven Wonders of the Weald. Lamberhurst Vineyard, established in 1972, is one of the oldest vineyards in Kent. The vineyard is set amongst 20 acres of outstanding beauty with views over Bayham Abbey. The north facing position of the vines ensures that the harvest is a couple of weeks later than south facing vineyards and more importantly reduces the amount of frost damage early in the growing season. The Lamberhurst vineyard grows bacchus, pinot noir, rondo, regent and Ortega amongst others. |
