L’Ancien abattoir (slaughterhouse) of Bergues, Nord Pas de Calais dating from 1811.
Bergues is a town located in the arrondissement of Dunkerque in the region of Nord-Pas de Calais in the Nord Departement (capital Lille) of France and is situated 9 kilometres (5.6 miles) to the south of Dunkirk and 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the Belgian border. The town's name derives from the Flemish groene berg, which means "green hill". According to legend, St. Winnoc, son of the Breton king, retired to Groenberg, a hill on the edge of the coastal marshes.
The view also shows the Maison des Ingenieurs du Roy (1767)
