The Curraghgour (Curraghgower) Falls on the River Shannon between Thomond bridge and Sarsfield bridge. The view is from the old Limerick City Corporation building on Clancy Strand looking across to Kings Island. From just left of centre can be seen St Mary’s Church of Ireland Limerick Cathedral, The Cathedral of Saint Mary Blessed Virgin, (founded in 1168). Limerick Courthouse, Curraghgour Boat Club, the mouth of the Abbey River, the Hunt Museum and the spire of St John’s Cathedral. |
