Oliva is a municipality in the comarca of La Safor in the provence of Valencia in the Autonomous Region of Comunidad Valenciana, Spain. It boasts 10 kilometres of clean beaches and shallow waters, backed almost in their entirety by dunes which separate the orange groves from the sea. In the old town, which is well-preserved, the Christian village and the Moorish suburb stand out. Noteworthy monuments include the Archpriestal Palace, the convent of Rebollet, the “Torre de Comare” – from the 5th and 6th centuries-, San Roque (San Roc) - from the 18th and 19th centuries, Santa María la Mayor church (17th-18th centurie), and the ruins of the castle of Santa Ana built in the 16th century. San Roc Abbey, the home of the San Roc Abbotts, which is of Mudéjar origin, is highly-representative of popular architecture in the 17th and 18th centuries. Oliva has one of the province's biggest and most colourful Moor and Christian Festivals in the province.
